Tooth knocked out??

Call us as soon as it happens! There is a limited amount of time a permanent tooth can be replaced into its socket without the body rejecting it. Because it is such a time sensitive emergency, head towards our office and give us a call at the same time! We will make every effort to be there for you.
  • Do NOT clean the tooth. When touching it, try your best to touch it only by the crown portion, not the root.
  • Transport the tooth in Hank's solution, milk, or salt water. DO NOT use plain tap water or saliva unless that is your only option, because it does not keep the tooth at a close enough pH.
  • We may give further instructions to manage your emergency over the phone.
  • If the tooth is a primary, or baby, tooth, do not worry about replacing it. If the tooth has become impacted, or pressed inwardly, we will evaluate the tooth to see if it needs to be removed so that it does not damage the permanent tooth underneath.
